Hidden on the Mountain:
Stories of Children Sheltered from the Nazis in Le Chambon
by Deborah Durland DeSaix and Karen Gray Ruelle.

PRESENTATIONS TO STUDENTS

We are happy to speak at schools. However, we prefer that students read at least part of our book before any classroom visit. In this way, our presentation will be more meaningful, and it will give students the necessary background to engage in discussion. We tailor our presentation to the age group, from 5th through 12th grade. For more details, please contact Karen and Deb.

PRESENTATIONS TO ADULTS

We are very pleased to make presentations to educators, librarians, and other interested adults. We tell the inspiring story of Le Chambon, brought to life with anecdotes from the lives of the people we interviewed and their rescuers, and illustrated with slides and audiotaped segments. We can also talk about the process of researching this type of book, and the interviewing experience. We allow time for a question and answer period.

If you plan to offer books for sale, we are happy to sign them.

Books can be ordered directly from Holiday House or at your local bookstore. Also, see bookseller link on this website.
